Welcome to Jireh Disability Ministries!
We meet the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm for worship with persons of all abilities.
Our Jireh ministry seeks to create a safe and welcoming space for adults with intellectual disabilities to worship, learn and experience the love of God. We accomplish this through energizing worship, creative Bible-based learning, and loving service.
Our Jireh ministry began in March 2009 as the result of several members participation in Luvability Ministries in Niles, MI. One of our members, Mary Jo Raab, was involved in working with a few young men who attended New Hope. She felt the calling along with other members and the pastor to start a worship service designed for peoples with disabilities.
Each November our group puts on a special Christmas Nativity Pageant that has become one of our favorite services at New Hope UMC.
At New Hope we believe ALL people deserve to recieve God’s Word in a way they can understand and deserve support in their spiritual journey.
All are welcome in God’s house!
